Extension lease agreement | Parklaan 17 Rotterdam

Schaap Advocaten Notarissen has extended the lease on its office at Parklaan 17 in Rotterdam for many years. With this extension, Schaap confirms its choice for this striking building, where it has been located since 1984.
The villa at Parklaan 17 is a listed building, built in 1926 on behalf of the Jamin family, owners of the Jamin shops. Extensions were added in the 1980s and 1990s, bringing the total size of the building to approximately 2,260 m². The building is situated on a spacious plot and has 28 parking spaces on its own grounds.
For Schaap and the Lessor, NLV, it was essential that the long-term extension of the lease be combined with a thorough sustainability upgrade of the building. The Lessor will make significant progress in this regard. For example, the villa’s glazing will be replaced with BENG glass, and the window frames, glazing, roof insulation and air handling units in the extension will be renewed. More charging stations will also be installed in the car park, and solar panels will be placed on the extension.
Schaap is a medium-sized firm with around forty solicitors and (candidate) civil-law notaries. The solicitors and civil-law notaries focus on property and corporate law. Estate planning is also an important specialism within the civil-law notary practice. Schaap offers top-quality legal services combined with personal commitment, short lines of communication and flexibility – with pleasure and pride from its premises at Parklaan 17.
Schaap Advocaten Notarissen was advised in the lease renewal process by De Lobel & Partners – real estate experts. The landlord, NLV, was advised by Cushman & Wakefield.
